Entries are now open for The Dis-Chem Sun City Swim on 20th October 2012!

Calling all swimmers!

We are extremely pleased to announce that entries for the 2012 Dis-Chem Sun City Swim are now open! To enter all you need to do is click here and you will be directed to the online entry site. Early bird entrants receive a discount ...so dont delay!

Race date is Saturday, 20th October 2012 at the Sun City Water World Complex. As normal, the day kicks off with a 3000m swim, followed by four 1500m age group events...all timed. The day ends off with a 600m fun swim. There is something for all members of the family...whats more entrants get free entrance to The Valley of the Waves complex!
New this year will be the ChampionChip timing system which has been adopted in a number of other open water swims in Gauteng. Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase a ChampionChip if they do not already own one. Purchases can be done with your entry. Aside from timing, your medical emergency details are registered on your chip which could be crucial in case of emergency! The ChampionChip will last a life time and can be used at ANY ChampionChip timed event in South Africa (including running, cycling, triathlon etc). Using this technology allows us to provide you with same day online results, confirmation of your results via SMS and a nifty post race certificate to prove what a champ you are! You MAY enter the timed events without a ChampionChip, HOWEVER, you will NOT receive a time, NOR be eligible for prizes, NOR be counted for the 10 year loyalty award.
