Simonsberg Conservancy Wine Estates to host Dirtopia’s Winter Triple Trail Run series
It is not every day that you can enjoy the outdoors on private land! Knorhoek, Muratie & Delheim Wine Estates near Stellenbosch will be opening their land for three winter Conservancy fundraising events in June, July & August.
Dirtopia’s trail building team has over the past year built many kilometres of new singletrack in the forests of the Simonsberg area and will be managing the access to these private farms with a permit system.
The first event of 8 June will take place at Knorhoek and will have new routes of 6km and 10km. The Falke Winter Trail will be at Muratie on the 5th
of July will be a 7km & 12km with magnificent singletrack climbing the hills just above the estate.
Delheim Wine Estate plays host to the third winter run on the 16th
of August, which will have slightly tougher routes of 7km and 12km.
Simonsberg Conservancy and Dirtopia have been working together for 10 years and have brought many events to outdoor enthusiasts in this area.
All these Estates have wonderful restaurants, so participants can enjoy lunch after their work-out. It is advisable to pre-enter as there will be limited space. Participants can not only look forward to great trails, but also finishers medals, refreshment stations and there will be award winning wines to be won at the prizegiving and lucky draws.
