The website will regularly be updated with more event information. Detailed race information regarding daily distances, route profiles, GPS coordinates, etc will also be uploaded closer to the time.
All three days will count for an overall time to crown the top riders.
Entry options & costs
Please note that no refunds of entry fees will be done once you have enter. Substitutions will be allowed until 30 June 2014.
Entry option 1 - R2 600 per person
3 Day Cycling excluding accommodation and excluding all meals but including Saturday prize giving lunch
Entry option 2 - R3 200 per person
3 Day Cycling excluding accommodation but including 6 meals (dinner Wednesday, lunch and dinner Thursday, lunch and dinner Friday & prize giving lunch Saturday)
Entry option 3 - R2 800 per person
3 Day Cycling including camping space (your own tent) in the race village (5 nights), excluding all meals but including prize giving lunch Saturday
Entry option 4 - R3 200 per person
3 Day Cycling including camping space (your own tent) in the race village (5 nights) and including 6 meals (dinner Wednesday, lunch and dinner Thursday, lunch and dinner Friday & prize giving lunch Saturday)
Entry option 5 - R3 100 per person
3 Day Cycling including tented accommodation in the race village (5 nights), excluding all meals but including prize giving lunch Saturday
Entry option 6 - R3800 per person

Single Day Race: 50km (Saturday) - R300 per person including prize giving braai
Single Day Fun Ride: 10km (Saturday) - R80 per person

Lunch and dinner will only be served to those that chose the meal inclusive package. Breakfasts are the participants own responsibility. There are numerous restaurants and shops in Springbok.
Extra dinners and prize giving lunches (for family and friends) can be booked and paid for with your online entry - R90 per meal
Meals will be the typical, finger licking good, generous servings of food that Namaqualand is just as famous for as it's flowers!
If you choose the camping option, you have to bring your own tent, mattresses, etc. Stands do have power points.
If you choose the supplied tented accommodation in the race village, you will get a waterproof tent and a blow-up mattress. Runners have to bring their own linen / bedding.
Clean ablution facilities
No caravans or camping trailers will be allowed because of space limitations. If you choose to bring your own tent, please remember that the maximum tent size allowed is 3x3 meter.
Extra tented accommodation can be booked for family & friends at R200 per person per night. Camping only (without us supplying the tent) at R100 per person per night.
Those who are not keen on the camping option can book their own accommodation at one of the numerous guesthouses and hotels in Springbok.
Just bear in mind that it is peak flower season so accommodation will be limited and expensive so book well in advance!
Registrations, race briefing and start times
Registration will be from 17h00 to 20h00 on Wednesday, 03 September. No registrations on race morning.
Race & Stage briefing at 19h00 every evening at dinner as well as on the morning before the stage start.
Compulsery gear check will be 30 minutes before the start of every stage.

Mini first aid kit - Strap, elastic bandage, anti cramp tablets, anti histamine, wound dressing, disinfectant.
You must carry a card with all your medical details on it such a Doctor's telephone number, Medical insurance number, emergency telephone number and contact name, blood group, any allergies etc. This must be inside a sealed ziplock bag and on your person.
Rain/cold weather - You will NOT be allowed to go out onto the trails without any of this if the weather is foul. We will make that decision on the morning of the run - ensure you have it available!
"Water proof" rain jacket [Please note that a "wind proof" shell is NOT necessarily a "Rain proof" jacket, although a rain jacket is wind proof...] PLEASE make sure you understand the difference between the 2 garments - test it! We will have no hesitation turning you away if you have the incorrect foul weather gear.
Other useful items (not compulsory): Sunblock, sun glasses, small camera, positive attitude and a sense of humor.
There will be water stations placed at strategic points along the route each day.
Safety / Medical
Comprehensive EMS will be present at the event
A full medical team will be present at the start of each day to ensure every athlete is fit enough to take part.
The same medical staff will also be present at the finish of each stage to ensure assistance for any athletes in need after and through the rest of the day and night.
Safety and route briefings will be held before the start of each stage.
