Both the half marathon and the 10 kilometre are moderate routes. Part of the half marathon route is run on the Agricultural Research Council's Irene Farm with the balance around the beautiful and scenic Irene Dairy Farm, the Irene Golf Course and the farm style Southdowns Residential Estate. The 10 kilometre race is run on the farm and also goes past the Southdowns Estate. Little traffic along the route adds to the enjoyment of this well organised race.

Walkers are welcome. The 10 kilometre has been consistently ranked in a number of our surveys as a well organised and well presented event. The race attracts more than 5,000 participants and is among the 15 largest races in the country. It is now one of the most popular and biggest races in Gauteng. The venue is very appealing in terms of scenery, atmosphere and safety. A separate starting point caters for the large group of walkers that take part in the race. A five kilometre race is run at the same time. A one kilometre Kids Run with clowns and entertainment is also held. Please note that no pets are allowed. There is a fun run, confirm details with the organisers.
