The Volunteer Wildfire Services Trail Challenge will be held onSunday, 27 May 2012.

Set in Table Mountain National Parks and established in 2005, the VWS Trail Challenge is back again this year to test the mettle of avid trail runners (and walkers). Boasting scenic views, the challenge offers runners a chance to do two routes: 25km or 10km.

Run and organised by volunteer wildfire firefighters under the VWS banner, all proceeds after costs from the entry fees will go towards the Volunteer Wildfire Services, an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection of biodiversity and the preservation of our natural heritage.

Any donations are welcome and would be greatly appreciated.

The course this year follows much the same route as last year, with the race Start and Finish located in Deer Park, Vredehoek. Only 600 places for runners/walkers are available, so book soon to claim your spot.
