Ride the hills where the Wilge River cuts through the ‘rust pigmented’ sandstone formations to form spectacular cliffs made up of fossilised red sand dunes, an extension of the ancient desert landscape of the Magabeng Plateau.

Expect stunning jeep track, loads of single track and beautiful views over the valley. There will be some fast, flowing single track sections on the ridge, a few proper climbs, a sandy patch and of course also those fast downhills we all love so much.
The route is not too technical but it is mountain biking so there will be one or two short technical sections just to keep things interesting.

Race participants don't have to pay the gate entrance fee.
Non-participants and supporters will pay R40 per person gate entrance fee.
Vehicle permit of R50 per vehicle to be paid by all so we suggest you share transport where possible.
Full race village at the Ezemvelo camp with beer tent, bike mechanical zone, massage zone, beer tent, food stands, swimming pool, braai areas and much more.
Camping spots can be booked with Ezemvelo directly at their stunning camp site under the trees.
