Kinetic Full Moon 120km Adventure

We organize 2 x Full Moon events (1/2 Sep - Bethlehem) and (27/28 Oct- Parys)

Date: Saturday, 27 October - Sunday, 28 October 2012

Venue: Parys

Categories: 2 member or 4 members teams of whom a 4 Mixed Member team will be the official catogory.

Distance: 120km Adventure (approximately 70km Mountain biking, 30km Trekking, 20km Kayaking, Rope work and Orinteering)

Kinetic supply the boats, paddles, re-supply boxes, paddle bags, maps, passpords and punches.

This is an unsupported event and you dont need any seconds. Family and supporters are welcome but cant assist any team members.

Program:

Sat Registration from: 09:00 - 10:00

Briefing and maps hand-out: 10:00

Planning and packing: 10:30 - 12:30

Re-supply boxes, kayak bag and paddles hand in: 12:30

Race start at: 13:00

Sunday morning brunch from 09:00 - 12:00

Prize giving: 12:00

Race cut-off: 14:00

Top teams to finish in 12 hours with last teams 24 hours.

Kinetic supply Tented camp with matrasses. When you finish the event you have a tent to rest until brunch and prize giving.

  • To try something new, stretch your horizons and stop following a bunted route! this is real adventure and you will see the Full Moon!

  • No seconds needed and easy 3 hour drive from JHB on the Sat morning

  • Its a do-able distance for a beginner who dreams of stepping it up to the bigger events eg: Double moon 250km and Expedition Africa 500km

  • Its a fantastic event to try out a team combination

  • No boats or re-supply boxes needed - Kinetic provide it

  • No camping gear etc needed - Kinetic provide it

  • No Sunday meal needed - included in entry fee

  • Salomon technical shirt and Trophee for all
