Venue and Directions
Leeuwenkloof is situated near Broederstroom, south of the Hartebeespoort dam, about 30min from Pretoria and 45min from Jhb and falls within the Cradle of Humankind. This scenic and mountainous area is ideal for a variety of outdoor activities.
From Pretoria:

-Take the Church Street extension toward Pelindaba

-Turn left at the T-junction on top of the bridge.

-Turn right at R104 past Pelindaba

-Continue straight onto the R512 (3 way Stop) towards Hartebeespoortdam / Pecanwood

-Turn left towards Broederstroom (D400) Hartebeeshoek

-The entrance is on the left 4km from the Broederstroom (D400) Hartebeeshoek turn off.

From Johannesburg:

-Take the R512 towards Hartebeespoortdam

-At the 3 way stop turn left, still the R512 towards Pecanwood

-Turn left towards Broederstroom (D400) Hartebeeshoek

-The entrance is on the left 4km from the Broederstroom (D400) Hartebeeshoek turn off.

Route Description 

The event starts and finishes at Leeuwenkloof and winds up the trail toward the highest point, overlooking the Cradle of humankind and Hartebeespoortdam – stunning views of the cradle of human kind and surrounding areas from the top – truly unspoilt…Spectacular single track is around every hook and bend. Trail runners can expect a surprise when entering the old lead mine in the middle of the Kloof. The event will prove to be a true test of stamina, strength and fitness. 
Start Times 
15 km Trail Run – 07:00
6 km Trail Run/Walk – 07:15
Water and Refreshments
Water and Refreshment stations will be available on the route.
Entries and Registration 
15 km Trail Run – R 90.00
6 km Trail Run/Walk – R 60.00 
Pre-entries close on the 6th of September 2013at 17:00.

Late entries are excepted, but won't recieve a medal and will pay an extra R20 penalty, which will be donated to a charity at the last race of the year.

Registration on race day from 05:30 at the Race Venue
· There will be marshals at strategic places on the course for your safety.
· There will be a race sweeper at each race that will run behind the last runner.
· Registration will take place before the race where you must collect your race number and sign the indemnity.
· There will not be a cut off time but prize giving will start at 09:00.
· The race will be timed.
· The route will be clearly marked. It is the responsibility of the runner to follow the course markers.
Medals and Results 
· Medals to all pre-entered finishers for both events.

· Results will be made available on the race website after the event and on a live screen at the finish via electronic chip timing.

A prize-giving ceremony will be held at 09:00.

Cash prizes to the first 3 men and first 3 ladies for the 15km Trail Run only but lots of lucky draw prizes to all participants.
